Paintball Cops
September 25, 2009
Police officers are not only professionally trained to handle gun and tasers, but they’re also professionally trained to use paintball guns – at least in Japan. The cops in the Shizuoka Prefecture of Japan has started implementing the use of paintball to help chase down fleeing criminals. The paint is designed to be hard to remove so the police force and the general public can easily identify a fleeing suspect. The paintball gun is also designed with a laser pointer installed to provide cops with a supported aim. The paintball guns are still undergoing development and the maximum shooting range of 50m still provides a challenge for the Japanese police officers.
